In 1968 Gerald Henegar established Henegar Dental Laboratory. Having a background in gnathology and dental ceramics he was able to quickly build a good business. With his interest in quality dental laboratory work Gerald attended many post graduate courses, studying with Dr. Charley Stuart and the Stuart Articulator, Also studying with Dr. Peter K. Thomas, being a part of a group of technicians and dentist that followed the teachings of PKT. Gerald became a Certified Dental Technician in 1972 and has continued his interest in excelling in all phases of dental technology.

Gerald began his career in the dental laboratory field in 1964 working at Bowden Dental Laboratory in Bartlesville Oklahoma. In 1966 he went to work for the  JM Ney Co., in their Dallas Clinic Room, a training lab for Dental Technicians as well as Dentists. While at the Ney Dallas Clinic Room Gerald had the opportunity to work for and with Mr. Athol Dickson, a well known teacher and lecturer. The Ney Dallas Clinic Room offered courses from elementary crown and bridge waxing to gnathological full mouth waxing, including courses in dental ceramics. While there he attended courses offered by The JM Ney Co. , and other courses offered by dental study groups that would use the training lab for continuing education courses.

In 2002 Gerald handed over day to day operations to his son Paul Henegar and Daniel Medrano, while staying on as ceramics manager.

Paul Henegar, son of Gerald Henegar, was raised in the dental lab business. While growing up he watched his father hold true to his quality minded work ethics and skills, and has followed in his footsteps of quality and integrity.

After being trained in the PTC system he became a waxer and metal finisher, learning the skills of a quality dental technician under his father's teaching. He has attended several waxing courses including advanced anatomical waxing taught by Ewe Brasamlai.

He became interested in the new technologies and systems for the dental field, with special interest in cad cam technology and has had extensive training in Procera, Cercon, and Lava technologies. Because of his background in metal finishing, he also completed training in Captek, and Sinterkor. As new technologies and systems are developed he continues his education through training and seminars, with the latest being “Teeth in an Hour”, a course on implant restorations using the Nobel Biocare implants and cad cam technology.

His quality minded work ethics and skills handed down from his father and coupled with his desire for cutting edge dentistry, makeup the values that are Henegar Dental Lab.

aniel's expertise is in removables and has taken several courses through out his career including: Ivoclars BPS Denture system; Dentsply Trubyte Denture and Swissedent Denture techniques. Because dental systems change so rapidly, Daniel is committed to staying on the cutting edge of technology and is dedicated to educating Henegar Dental Lab employees on the latest technologies so they can provide a superior product and quality service to present and future clients.
